| 1 1/2 oz Metal Lip Swimmer | ||||
| The 1 1/2 oz. metal lip swimmer was designed to be a peanut bunker imitation that casted better than most metal lip swimmers. Due to its compact size, it can be casted into some headwinds where you would typically take metal lips out of your arsenal. Check out the video on the Media page! Each metal lip is crafted from red cedar and sealed. Through wire construction with a 500 lb stainless steel hook hanger. Painted and clear coated with an epoxy finish. The belly hook is a 4x 2/0 VMC and the rear hook is a dressed VMC siwash. |
Its compact size also helps it from rolling out of some rougher surf, and
everyone knows the first few hours of a wind or swell in the fall can really
make the fish go wild on peanuts! It will swim up on the surface nice and
slow and will dive one to two feet if you speed up the retrieve. When fishing the 1 1/2 oz metal lip swimmer, cast it behind a wave or to the structure you are targeting. Slowly retrieve the plug while giving it occassional pauses or twitches. If you want to adjust how the plug is swimming, bend the eye of the plug slightly up to make it swim deeper, and slightly down if you want it to swim closer to the surface. |
