The 1 1/2 oz. needlefish was originally designed to add a bit of action to the normal needlefish. At 7" long and 3/4" in diameter, it is meant for calm to moderate surf. They are medium sinkers and rests almost horizontally in the water. When crawled on the surface or in the back of the wave, the shaped head will make them slightly swing from side to side giving the lure an action the fish just love when a typical needlefish won't induce a strike. This is more general condition needlefish. Works well on the sand and in the deeper waters around jetties. It holds better than the 5/8 oz in more moderate waves or turbulent waters and fishes a bit better around the top of the tide. It will sink faster than the 5/8 oz. It casts well and should reach the bar when you need to

Each needlefish is crafted from birch hardwood and sealed. Through wire construction with a 310 lb stainless steel hook hanger. Painted and clear coated with an epoxy finish. The belly hook is a 2/0 4x VMC and the rear siwash is a 5/0 VMC with matching bucktail.
